PCG Digital Marketing to Demonstrate AAN at 8th Digital Dealer Conference

March 14th, 2010

PCG Digital Marketing unveiled their Automotive Advertising Network (AAN) at the 2010 National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) Convention in Orlando which expands the opportunities for car dealers to advertise their cars for sale online.

The AAN consists of a network of car inventory advertising websites that target local marketing and the unique search phrases that consumers use to research new and used cars.  The AAN will have over 300 websites to assist consumers in its network by the end of April 2010.  The sites will contain automotive buying news, tips, resources and local dealer inventory.  The AAN platform will be formerly launched at the 8th Digital Dealer Conference in Orlando on April 20, 2010.

In addition to the network of over 300 websites dealers can leverage to advertise their cars, the AAN also includes PCG’s CarPort App™, a software application that allows cars dealers to post their cars on social media websites and popular blogs.  With CarPort App™ car dealers can leverage the search engine power of blogs to write about the cars they sell and include sample inventory in the blog post.

Dealers who don’t want to maintain a blog can subscribe to PCG’s digital marketing package which includes content development, blogging and social media services in a turnkey package.  The AAN and CarPort App™ give dealers the opportunity to create strong local online marketing campaigns internally or in partnership with PCG Digital Marketing.

CarPort App™ is compatible with popular blogging tools that include WordPress, Blogger, TypePad, NING and Vox.  PCG Digital Marketing also enhanced CarPort App™ to display car dealer inventory on a tab on a Facebook Fan Page and well as a NING social networking website.   The software application empowers car dealers with unlimited advertising possibilities for the cars that they stock or sell.

Brian Pasch, CEO of PCG Digital Marketing, commented on the AAN;  “Car dealers are looking for incremental sales and leads to supplement their current marketing strategies.  The Automotive Advertising Network leverages the power of consumer search and social media to present more opportunities for car shoppers to see their cars.  With free blogging tools and CarPort App™ combined, car dealers can create unlimited local advertising strategies that can appear on Google Page One for popular search phrases.”

PCG Digital Marketing is offering car dealer’s special pricing for inaugural members of the AAN through June 1, 2010.   Early adopters will have strategic advantages for marketing in the local communities so according to PCG, “the early bird will get the worm”.   The AAN and CarPort App™ is being offered to car dealers for $495 a month and includes the custom setup of the dealer’s Facebook Fan Page inventory tab and training on how to create effect blog content with CarPort App™.

Free Trial Supplies of Prescribed Medications Now Available Online

March 9th, 2010

Despite the large number of prescriptions filled at pharmacies — approximately 70 million each day nationwide — there are many which are never filled, often because the patient’s family either has no health insurance or, for whatever reason, simply cannot afford the cost. The potential danger that this creates is clear. In order to properly treat an individual’s illness, the physician must become certain of two things: that the patient is following the doctor’s instructions by filling the prescription and taking the medication as directed, and that the medication itself is working and having the desired effect with no unwanted side effects.

In today’s national economy, with increased joblessness and many families having to decide between prescribed medicines and other critical items, the opportunity to have a prescription filled at little or no cost can mean the difference between the patient getting healthy — by being able to follow the physician’s instructions — or suffering needlessly.

With the recent launch of a new Internet search engine — www.FirstRxSavings.com — anyone who receives a doctor’s prescription can now go immediately to that website, refer to the alphabetical listing of more than 500 medications, print out right from the computer the prescription savings coupon they need for their specific medication, and bring the coupon (together with the prescription) to virtually any pharmacy in the nation. While each of the prescription drug coupon programs differs, all can be used to pay either part of an insured’s co-pay, or the entire cost … and often up to twelve refills.

There is no cost for any of these pharmacy coupons, and there is no need for website visitors to register with. FirstRxSavings.com in order to be able to print out the coupons needed. FirstRxSavings.com serves as a search engine to link each individual with the respective pharmaceutical company’s website where the coupon can be found and printed out. Many of the programs offer free trial supplies of the medication — for example, free 30-day supplies of Uroxatral (for enlarged prostate), free 15-day trial supplies of Crestor for lowering cholesterol, or even six-month free co-pays for the rheumatoid arthritis medication, Orencia. Hundreds of such offers are available as computer-printable coupons, at no cost, on FirstRxSavings.com.

Even the non-insured can take advantage of these free coupons on FirstRxSavings.com, because many state specific dollar values that pharmacies will use to deduct that amount from the usual price, enabling even non-insured families to be better able to afford the vital medications prescribed by their physicians. With the advent of the FirstRxSavings.com search engine, there is more reason for physicians to expect that their patients will follow the instructions needed to keep them healthy.

Google Caffeine Sandbox Closed

November 10th, 2009

Those of you who have been testing the Google Caffeine technology using the sandbox feature to compare the new search technology with the current system, you can’t play in the sandbox any more!  Some will be heart broken.

When you visit the Caffeine Sandbox you now see this message:

We appreciate all the feedback from people who searched on our Caffeine sandbox.

Based on the success we’ve seen, we believe Caffeine is ready for a larger audience. Soon we will activate Caffeine more widely, beginning with one data center. This sandbox is no longer necessary and has been retired, but we appreciate the testing and positive input that webmasters and publishers have given.

So it looks like Google will be implementing the Caffeine technology very soon.  I had been doing testing on the Caffeine technology and the good news is that my work did not decrease in position but in many cases saw an increase.

Some have suggested that sites with strong linking strategies and title tags as well as good content relevance will be rewarded in Google Caffeine.   Time will tell but since I’m a content SEO advocate, I would say that it is a path that dealers should pursue.

Google Caffeine

October 5th, 2009

Are you wondering how SEO strategies will be affected by the new Google Caffeine technology?

As we ready for the release of Google Caffeine, SEO consultants have been following the comments from testers from around the world.  On Google’s blog, the initial Google Caffeine press release, has resulted in over 200 comments to date.

A great article by Ben Parr showed some initial test results that concluded that Google Caffeine is fast and produces more relevant search results pages.

Matt Cutts from Google also discusses the Google Caffeine Update.  If you have not followed Matt’s blog I recommend that you do and some should consider just following his RSS feed.

Bing and Google Caffeine

Bing has been on an advertising roll lately poking fun at how much “clutter” is in search engine result pages.  Not naming Google specifically, Microsoft’s Bing advertisements hint that Bing produces cleaner and more relevant results.

When Caffeine rolls out, it may make that ad campaign obsolete.  I have been enjoying Bing, when I occasionally test our SEO strategies, but the logic behind their SERP’s is very different from Google.  Special optimization strategies need to be directed toward top rankings in Bing.  Never a dull a moment.

Google Caffeine SEO

We are actually very happy to hear that Google is upping the bar for SERP and of course we will be testing how Google Caffeine affects our SEO strategies.  We have done a few tests using the Caffeine sandbox tool located at: http://www2.sandbox.google.com

Some of the search phrases we have tested, that we have targeted for ourselves  or for our automotive clients are shown below:

Phrase Google Google Caffeine
automotive seo Page 1 Position 1 Page 1 Position 1
nj seo company Page 1 Position 1 Page 1 Position 1
ford massachusetts Page 1 Position 2 Page 1 Position 1
infiniti warranty Page 1 Position 3 Page 1 Position 3
long island jeep Page 1 Position 6 Page 1 Position 6
boston bmw lease Page 1 Position 2 Page 1 Position 2
nj caterers Page 1 Position 2 Page 1 Position 4

Testing Google Caffeine

From what we can see, just looking at SERP results is not what makes Google Caffeine different.  I think that quality content and quality links will be more rewarded in Google Caffeine.  When Google Caffeine is released into production, we predict that our content rich microsite models will be lifted.

Our Automotive SEO clients will be doubly rewarded because of our network of high ranking automotive blogs and websites.
