The Mitsubishi Outlander Sport, available for Charlotte Mitsubishi fans, has set the Guinness World Record for being the “Farthest Drive by an Online Controlled Vehicle in 24 Hours.”

The record was set at 91 miles and involved people from all over the controlling the car from online making it the first online test-drive.  Along with setting the record for being the car that drove the furthest by being controlled online in 24 hours, the Mitsubishi Outlander took home a few more records this past winter during their Live Drive Event in Alberta, Canada.

Some of the Guinness World Records they set over the course of the event include the greatest distance by a vehicle in reverse on snow in 30 seconds, the shortest braking distance by a vehicle on ice (30 mph to 0 mph, the most vehicle figure-of-eights on ice in two minutes, the fastest vehicle slalom relay on ice (1/4 mile), and the fastest driven square lap in a vehicle (gravel, 100 ft. x 100 ft.).

The most-equipped GT feature the same upgrades as the XLS, but also has Mitsubishi’s Super All-Wheel Control and Active Front Differential. The interior features double stitched leatherette dash and door panel accents. Available packages add navigation, a sunroof, updated audio system and more. This allows Mitsubishi shoppers to customize the 2011 Outlander to fit their car to their likes and needs.
